The next date for
wire 2010 and Tube 2010 is confirmed: The two leading international
trade fairs, wire, International Wire and Cable Trade Fair,
and Tube, International Tube Trade Fair, will show the best
their respective industries have to offer from 12 to 16 April
2010. The combined innovative power of these growth industries
will again be showcased in the halls of the Düsseldorf Exhibition
Centre in 2010. The successful trade fair duo will not be held
in conjunction with METAV in 2010, however.

The previous wire in 2008 achieved the highest-ever level of
international participation. 59% of the visitors came from abroad,
making wire one of the most international events in the Messe
Düsseldorf portfolio.
As the number one
trade fair of its industry, wire 2008 again reported a visitor
plus of 18% compared with the previous event in 2006. At that
time, the percentage increase of international visitors was
11%. German visitors accounted for a visitor growth rate of
7%. The number of exhibitors rose by 5%, and the combined display
area increased by 9% and reflects the markets' needs.
The product range
at wire 2010 will focus again on current technologies for wire,
cable and fibreglass machines, the areas of spring manufacturing
and metal forming as well as all aspects surrounding wires and
cables.
Tube
Tube 2010 will showcase tube construction and processing machines,
raw materials and tubes produced from various materials. For
the second time, innovations from the areas of pipelines and
OCTG (oil country tubular goods) technology will be introduced.
After the premiere in 2008, 8% of the visitors surveyed reported
that they were interested in these innovative technologies,
especially in the areas of pipeline construction (49%), materials
(48%) and machines and systems (25%). 90 percent of the visitors
assessed the new exhibition area Pipelines und OCTG Technology
as good or very good.
Also at Tube and
it's figures the market's dynamic development can be seen. All
in all Tube 2008 attracted 25% more international visitors and
11% more German visitors. On the exhibitor side, a growth rate
of 32% on the international front and 8% on the domestic front
was established. The display area was enlarged by one third!
