With
full support of all industry players, wire & Tube China 2006 were held in
September at the Shanghai New International Expo Center to general acclaim as
a very successful event. Statistics show that the 2nd wire & Tube China boasted
a gross exhibition area of 40,000 square meters, an increase of 14,000 square
meters over the 2004 event. In total 923 well known enterprises both from China
and 31 foreign countries and regions gathered in Shanghai once again. At wire
China, altogether 8 national pavilions from Austria, France, Germany, Italy, North
America, U.K., South Korea and Spain participated in extensive display areas,
while at Tube China, national pavilions from Germany, Austria, U.K., North America
and Spain also exhibited. Wire & Tube China 2006 received great support from
numerous domestic and overseas associations, media as well as Messe Düsseldorf
GmbH, and a large number of delegations from China Taiwan, India, South Korea,
Japan, and various provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in Mainland
China visited the show. The four-day event attracted about 32,000 trade visitors,
of which 4,193 were from more than 90 countries. According
to the result of onsite exhibitor survey, 50% of the exhibitors were satisfied
with Wire & Tube China 2006, even 18.1% exhibitors rated as excellent. And
74.4% of the exhibitors intended to participate in the next edition of wire China
& Tube China. While 57.9% of the trade visitors were satisfied with the exhibition,
while 17.9% rated as outstanding. Wire China and Tube China not only got recognition
from the industry, but also authorized as a UFI Approved Event. The international
brand of wire &Tube is once again testified, with its services, quality, scale,
professionalism and international influence unanimously acknowledged by authoritative
international organizations in the exhibition industry. In
2006,China's GDP reached 222.9 billion US dollar, while it surpassed Italy's and France's,
and also slightly surpassed UK's. And then China became the fourth biggest economic
entity. Some economists estimated that China's economy development will still
in the fast track in the next few years, and the GDP increase is estimated maintaining
at a high speed. Wire and Tube industry in China will continue to develop rapidly
in the favorable economic environment. The giant market demand is the footstone
for a successful exposition for the next edition. The next edition of Wire &
Tube Fair (wire & Tube China 2008) will be held on Sept.23-26, 2008 with supports
from international and domestic associations in the industry. More
